Devon Larratt left the East vs West 25 press conference with Levan Saginashvili’s gauntlet on his arm and none of the satisfaction.

In a video from Batumi, Devon said the symbolic handoff felt wrong because he had beaten nobody for it. Levan had relinquished the right-arm super-heavyweight title, and East vs West called Devon onstage as the division opened.

Devon treated the moment as a gesture. Competition remains the only championship path he accepts.

Devon Refused to Call the Handoff a Win

Devon’s reaction carried real respect. He called Levan the best champion he has seen during a lifetime in arm wrestling and said any successor will need time before the new title feels legitimate.

That comes from the man who has chased Levan twice and absorbed the consequences twice. Devon can argue over setup inches with almost anybody. Here, he gave the whole point away without a fight. Levan still owns the standard even after relinquishing the East vs West title.

Kamil and Georgi Suddenly Pull for More

Devon expects the open division to take time to settle. December was his earliest guess for real clarity.

He immediately raised the value of Kamil Jablonski versus Georgi Tsvetkov at East vs West 25. The official press conference later described Saturday’s right-arm match as a title eliminator, with the winner moving to a December match in Las Vegas against an opponent still to be determined.

That matchup already had a clean technical question. Can Georgi cup hard enough to drag Kamil away from the press, or does Kamil connect his shoulder before the outside lane develops? Our Kamil and Georgi preview now reads like a first bracket in the new title race.

Devon mentioned Vitaly Laletin as one man who could eventually establish the order. He also left room for himself to take another swing. Those were Devon’s forecasts, while East vs West has kept the December opponent open.

Devon Wants Ivan Matyushenko at 115 Kilograms

The most useful part of Devon’s update came after the title talk. His immediate target remains Ivan Matyushenko and the East vs West right-arm heavyweight championship at 115 kilograms.

Devon said he feels better there and will probably stay in that class while the super-heavyweight division sorts itself out. That choice gives him a live sporting goal instead of a symbolic belt. Ivan offers a powerful inside test, and Devon would have to manage the hand before the match settles into Matyushenko’s hook.
